Scrambled thinking

..laws by otherwise responsible citizens. Why do they need to be activated anyway?
I’ll tell you why – because it’s technically possible. If
I were king, I’d change this foolishness with a stroke of my regal pen.
And, what is it generally with the proliferation of road signs? The recent exercise
in Melbourne with the introduction of forty kilometre school zones borders on
criminal stupidity. (It’s a long story). I recently heard of a very interesting
experiment they’re trialling in London, which I believe originated in
Holland, called the Naked Road. I’ll check the Net, but I believe there’s
to be a stretch of road that has no markings on the road itself, and no signage.
I believe from previous European trials that the immediate result is not chaos,
but rather drivers slowing down and behaving cautiously – with, unamazingly,
a corresponding reduction in accidents. The

I dunno. I think all the traffic signs in the suburbs could be replaced with
just the one, saying: USE YOUR BRAINS. There again, that might be asking a bit
much.

I mean, do we really
need this!

So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to have to be painstakingly transcribed from vinyl to digital, so belatedly the songs are getting the love and attention they possibly deserve, even if it’s of the frustratingly nit-picking kind.
