#2 is a 1960 New Zealand made Commodore lap steel made by Maurice Liebert’s
Studios I’ve tuned to open E. I found this one at Real Guitars in Glen
Iris. I walked past it for months and thought it was a funny looking thing made
out of some weird material, but when I finally got around to playing it, I found
it was a fiery little number. Having a specials connection with things New Zealand,
I just had to have it.
It shouldn’t be too long before we can include them in our live performances.
