Hi Mike,Bill &
Robbo,
Just been listening to some (well most) of your Demos.Every
time I do it’s just like xmas and opening a present and not
knowing just what’s inside. How’s Bill’s aches & pains
with his hands & arms, hope things are getting better?
> Dalmas-Don’t usually like a lot of sax,but this is not
bad.
> Choc Latte – Sorry, didn’t go for this one, a bit too
poppy, not enough balls.
> Hot, Hot,Day – I could feel that hot breeze blow through.
> Jenwah – Simply Beautiful!!! I’m sure Jenny was over
the moon when she heard it.
> Gee Whiz – Love the feel, very groooovy.
> You Know What I Mean – BLOODY WOW!!!!!!!
> Politically Correct – It’s very much out there (in a
good way) it sent me to another place, just loved it !!!
> I Want That Woman – had a good chuckle, it’s a good track.
> I’ll Be Gone (morning after) – very Broderick Smith &
Dingoes.
> There’s some good shit you’ve got here Mike, keep it
up. Looking forward to the Milesago CD release .

CONGRATULATIONS
MIKE, BILL, ROBBO & DARYL!
I DOWN LOADED SILICON VALLEY ………. AND ………..
IT’S JUST AWESOME……… I AM PLAYING
IT REGULARLY IN CAR CD PLAYER AND I KEEP THINKING IT HAS TO
BE THE BEST IF NOT AMONGST THE BEST SPECTRUM TRACKS EVER………NOT
ONLY DOES IT REFLECT AN UPDATED SOUND BUT IT ALSO CONTAINS
ECHOES OF “MILESAGO MATERIAL” ……….
BEING A FIVE MINUTES PLUS TRACK IT IS REMINISCENT OF THE LONG
HAUNTING SPECTRUM SONGS OF OLD……… AS FOR
I’LL BE GONE (B) IT’S BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
AND CAPTURES THE SPECTRUM FEEL PERFECTLY, I’M SURE THIS VERSION
WOULD HAVE QUALIFIED FOR INCLUSION ON SPECTRUM PT 1 …….
THEY SAY SOME THINGS ONLY GET BETTER WITH AGE……..
P.S. WE’D LOOK FORWARD TO A SPECTRUM COVERS PAGE ON
YOUR WEBSITE …….. IT WOULD BE VERY INTERESTING
TO LISTEN TO OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS
POST EASTER REGARDS

Were you actually inviting comment on your works-in-progress?
Or we only seeking industry interest? I did listen Somewhere
down the track. A little too wistful for me I’m afraid. Nicely
made and sung but too “country” for me. Jenwah is
a gorgeous piece of music. Very listenable. Absolutely good
soundtrack material for *something* as you say.
The Girl Has Got a Gun. It’s this close (holds thumb and forefinger
close together) to being a very infectious, commercial little
ditty. Has some of the old Spectrum/Murtceps/Ariel spunk and
quirkiness. Perhaps less speaking and actual singing? I like
the spare guitar sounds with a solid little groove under there…
